Defending Your Life is a multi-media project about living courageously.
Launched in October 2016 by Brad & Dana Frost and their best friend, Jeremy Potter, Defending Your Life originated as an emotional platform for each participant to navigate the ups and downs of Brad’s unexpected diagnosis of stage IV kidney cancer at age 35. Whether podcasting Brad's treatment process or openly blogging about the struggles that emerge as one literally battles for their life, Defending Your Life became a safe space to discuss how one embraces the intangible vulnerability that's required to live an authentic and courageous life.
On January 22, 2017, after a heroic fight, Brad passed away in his home, surrounded by love. Dana and Jeremy continue their voyage on Defending Your Life, openly talking about grief, life after loss, and how one continues to live courageously in the face of excruciating heartbreak. As Jeremy man's the home front, Dana is currently driving around the country - a trip she and Brad planned together - in an attempt to find her own courage after the insurmountable loss of the love of her life. She will be podcasting individually, as well as with others on how they, too, live courageously when faced with life’s inevitable challenges.
Ultimately, Defending Your Life is here to encourage others to live a life of courageousness. It's underlying mission is to promote the philosophy that life always presents us with a choice—whether in our smallest moments or biggest decisions— and that we have the continuous opportunity to embrace the vulnerability required to live an authentic life.
As you navigate these pages, we welcome you into the most intimate moment of our lives. If you want to support or invest in the efforts we’re working on, please contribute here.
